Hey I am working on my photowebsite (www.dermottatlow.com) so I showed the link to a few friends in the game and my Boston-based photog buddy Darren (www.darrenmccollester.com) wrote, "Very nice. I suggest a blog to add to the site, which will give you the ability to post stories ASAP. And, as you know, all the "journalism" world is going to blogs".
..or was that to the dogs.
So it goes.
I live in Bogota, Colombia with Indira and our baby Devan. We have been here for 2 and a half years. Indira is The Boston Globe's Latin America bureau chief, but not for much longer as The Globe has decided to shut down all its foreign bureaus and concerntrate on local news. So changes in store for us.
Starting with the website, (www.dermottatlow.com) a work in progress, any comments? I know I got to speed it up so was up till 4am with my Colombian designer Hernando and programmer Felipe working away, fuelled by hot cheese sandwiches and coke (as "it's the real thing"), the locally produced variety would be screamingly off message.
The changes we worked on should be up in about 24 hours, once Felipe wakes up and decides he will not make it into college.
So here we go first posting.
